The World Bank and the IMF launched a cryptocurrency

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have launched a private blockchain and the so-called “quasi-cryptocurrency” for private testing, according to the Financial Times.
The project called “Learning Coin” will be accessible only within the IMF and World Bank. It is important to note that Learning Coin is not a classic cryptocurrency, as it has no real value. The coin is created only for educational purposes. The IMF world bank ceo is saying:

“The development of crypto-assets and distributed ledger technology is evolving rapidly, as is the amount of information (both neutral and vested) surrounding it. This is forcing central banks, regulators and financial institutions to recognize a growing knowledge gap between the legislators, policymakers, economists and the technology.”
